The History of the Espresso Martini<\/h2>\n

The Espresso Martini was created in the 1980s by the London bartender Dick Bradsell<\/strong> invented \u2013 allegedly at the request of a guest who wanted something that would simultaneously "wakes up and shoots<\/strong>\u201c. The combination of freshly brewed espresso<\/strong>, Coffee liqueur<\/strong> and spirit<\/strong> was born.<\/p>\n

The drink was originally called \u201cVodka Espresso,\u201d but later became the \u201cEspresso Martini\u201d \u2013 not because of the glass (not a typical martini glass), but because of the shape of the cocktail: short, strong, and served clear.<\/p>\n
