The Lucian family, who are now the second generation to run the Burg Hotel, attach great importance to sustainability and regionality. Their own pig farm, home-baked bread and the use of alternative energy sources show how deeply these values are anchored in the hotel. A biomass plant was put into operation in 1997 and now supplies most of the houses in Oberlech with heat. This philosophy of sustainability is also reflected in the kitchen, where only the best and freshest ingredients are used.
